Squires Mews Grand Opening
Squires Mews Care Home in Northampton commemorated its official grand opening in true Avery fashion on Wednesday 12th July. Welcoming over 60 guests, including members of their local community, relatives and friends of residents, the party kicked off in style with a complimentary glass of prosecco or Buck’s Fizz.
Amongst those in attendance were Avery Healthcare Director Ian Matthews, special guests, Mayoress Liz Cox, and Northamptonshire Mayor Cllr Stephen Hibbert, who proudly cut the ribbon and officially declared the home open. The fun-packed day was a joyous occasion, with the wonderful Katie Rose and Lesley Ann entertaining guests in the garden and the Dementia Sings Out Choir leading a wonderful singalong. Everyone was in great spirits joining together in laughter, song and dance. Nikolas rounded off the entertainment with an exquisite guitar set in the bistro as guests relaxed with refreshments and a slice of cake.
The home also continued its fundraising efforts for Dementia UK, hosting a raffle with exciting prizes up for grabs. Altogether, a remarkable sum of £240 was raised for the charity, and Barclaycard, whose UK head office is located nearby, pledged to match this amount, doubling the contribution to this worthy cause.
