Silvermere are Outstanding in CQC Inspection
“I feel very safe. I trust the carers. They look after us very well…”
“Staff are very kind and very prompt”
We are excited to announce Silvermere Care Home has recently been rated ‘Good In All Categories’ with an ‘Outstanding’ in one category (Responsive) after an unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC grades homes in on five categories of delivery: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. The category of Responsive relates to ensuring that residents received highly personalised care for their changing needs, ensuring the best possible health care outcomes.
Home Manager Rose O’Mara (pictured) was thrilled: “I am so proud of my team here at Silvermere and we are delighted to celebrate this wonderful achievement to get an Outstanding in one category! Our staff work hard to offer the highest quality care and promote independence and choice for our residents. They consider every individual’s needs, and deliver a home-from-home experience with friendship, engaging activities and a stimulating lifestyle. I know this result will push my staff even further!”
The CQC report includes comments from residents, relatives and staff: “People told us staff were kind and caring. They said staff treated them with respect…”; “Several relatives highlighted the welcoming atmosphere…”; “…the activities programme was one of the home’s strengths…”; “I feel very safe. I trust the carers. They look after us very well…”; and “Staff are very kind and very prompt.”
A huge congratulations to the team at Silvermere for all of their hard work!
