Serving our Services
A popular event at Avery care homes prior to the pandemic was Blue Light breakfast clubs for service men and women. Now, many homes are welcoming local teams from the police, fire and NHS services back to their homes for a cooked or continental breakfast to set them up perfectly for their busy days ahead. The invitations have received a very popular response, with some breakfast clubs occurring twice a month.
South Leicestershire’s neighbourhood PCSO, Vincent, popped into Lady Jane Court Care Home in Leicester to introduce himself to the new community. He was greatly appreciative to have received a cuppa and bacon butty as he chatted away with the new residents and reminisced about Christmas. He enjoyed spending time with the residents so much that he completely lost track of time on his commute to work! Acer Court Care Home in Nuthall also welcomed a crew from the Nottinghamshire fire services for a cooked breakfast to thank them for their hard work in keeping their community safe throughout the year.
