Meet Nicola Humphries – Lavender Lodge’s New Home Manager!

We are pleased to welcome Nicola Humphries as the new registered Home Manager at Lavender Lodge Care Home in Farnborough. Nicola has over 36 years of experience in social care, having previously worked in children and adult services and dementia, nursing, and residential services. Nicola also has extensive experience as a registered manager and regional operational manager.  

Lavender Lodge is a respected care home that offers residential, nursing, dementia and respite care and celebrates life in a spirit of companionship and fun.  

When asked about her favourite part of the job, Nicola confirmed, “The nicest part is creating memories every day for the residents. Just one smile, or one song, can make a resident’s day. And knowing my team and I have delivered the very best care throughout each day.” 

Nicola’s responsibilities include the upkeep of the care home as a whole, providing adequate care, treatment, and support to those living at the service. She is also responsible for upholding and promoting the rights of people who use the service – this includes quality assurances, leadership and support for all staff and general management.   

A typical day includes ensuring that the highest standards of care are met and, of course, spending quality time with the residents every day. Nicola admits that she couldn’t possibly choose a favourite memory from work, but that, “Every position I have held has led to fun, laughter, and learning.”
