Hempstalls Hall celebrates 10 years
In February, Hempstalls Hall Care Home, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, celebrated their 10th year anniversary with a huge 60’s themed party. The home invited Avery’s Managing Director, John Strowbridge, Avery Ambassador, TV and stage actress Sherrie Hewson and the Mayor of Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Simon White. Many of the staff dressed up in 60’s outfits for the themed event, and we enjoyed live music from Bluebird entertainment, which got everyone up and dancing. The event was a huge success, and we had a lovely day celebrating with our residents, their friends and families, and sharing 60’s memories.
Alongside the party celebrations, MD John presented five staff members from Hempstalls Hall, who have worked at the home since it opened,
with flowers, chocolates and a gift voucher, as a thank you for all of their hard work. We also invited Vicky McLaughlin, Lorraine Ford and Beverley Shotten who all previously worked at Hempstalls Hall, but have since transferred to work within other Avery homes. Our Chef, David Tainton, provided champagne, canapés and a wonderful buffet, including a full salmon centrepiece dish.
Tracey Evans, Home Manager said, “I am proud to lead the wonderful team here at Hempstalls Hall. We have a great home and wonderful residents, so it was super to celebrate with everyone.” Deputy Manager, Lisa Bailey added, “I have worked at Hempstalls Hall for nearly 10 years and I am very proud to work here. We have a lovely community, very friendly and happy. It is a great achievement to have staff working here for nearly 10 years. Good teamwork definitely pays off.”
