Grove Park’s Excellent Diligence to Infection Prevention
On 8th March, Grove Park Care Home in Leeds had an external audit from Lara at Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, focusing on all areas of infection, prevention, and control. The audit covered critical areas of risk, cleanliness of the home and equipment, and cleaning of shared items such as medication trolleys, mobile devices, and chair scales. There were also observations of staff practices such as handling laundry, hand washing, PPE, and dress code.
Home Manager Lisa Turnbull was delighted to receive the follow-up report with an impressive pass rate of 98.1%, which was the highest score awarded to any care home in the Leeds region. The auditor also expressed that she was highly impressed by the welcome from all team members and the team’s approach to the management of infection control matters within the home. She also specifically commented on the presentation of the home. Commenting on her visit to the home Lara stated, “Grove Park is a fantastic community with such a family feeling. It was a true pleasure to visit and I look forward to returning soon.”
