Furry Friends at Saxon Manor
On Thursday 9th November, residents at Saxon Manor were delighted to receive a visit from Michelle’s Animal Therapy & Petting Party for an afternoon of fun. Michelle brought along several furry friends, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, a chicken and a hamster. Everyone had a wonderful time interacting with the animals and enjoyed an afternoon of companionship.
Extensive research shows that animal therapy can have numerous positive benefits on well-being and can help combat loneliness and foster a positive, enriching environment for residents.
Speaking of the visit, Danny, Customer Service Manager at Saxon Manor, said, “A huge thank you to Michelle’s Animal Therapy & Petting Party for coming over to us here at Saxon Manor Care Home this afternoon. I checked in with our residents after you left, and they all shared that they enjoyed the experience, and I think it’s safe to say the staff had an absolute blast too.”
