Dukes Court Staff Awards 2019!
Dukes Court Care Home in Wellingborough recently held a Staff Awards Ceremony and invited Avery Ambassador, Stage and TV actress Sherrie Hewson to assist Home Manager, Heidi Smith, in presenting the awards.
Prior to our event, residents and relatives nominated their favourite staff members for a variety of awards, such as Favourite Carer, Best Newcomer and Favourite Support Staff Member. Staff also voted for each other, nominating one another for some more light-hearted awards such as Funniest, Loudest and Most Supportive.
To prepare for our awards ceremony, we decorated the home in a gold and black theme, with balloons and a red carpet. We also invited the Mayor of Wellingborough to join us. Sherrie assisted Heidi with presenting the awards and gift bags before spending time with residents, chatting about living at Dukes Court, and listening to the swing band that provided the entertainment.
The residents thoroughly enjoyed the day and were pleased to see staff get the recognition they deserve.
Sherrie and Heidi also presented three staff members with loyalty awards as they have been at Dukes Court since the very first day of opening. The Manager’s Award went to Head Chef Mike Adliy for his continued support and hard work in improving the running of the kitchen and the quality of the food.
The staff were pleased to all receive an award which was engraved with ‘Duke’s Court Care Awards 2019’ alongside a gift bag full of goodies and vouchers.
