Dukes Court Gets Good CQC Inspection
This January we received the results from our latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection and we are very proud to say we have achieved ‘Good in All Categories’ for the second time!
The result maintains our consistently high rating from our previous inspection, truly proving that we are a reliable and high-quality care home for both residential and dementia care. The CQC concluded that we are Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led.
However, we couldn’t have attained this result without the hard work from our fantastic staff and the support from our residents, families and friends, all of whom make Dukes Court Care Home such a wonderful place to live. Our report emphasised this too, summarising that ‘People continued to be treated with respect, kindness and empathy. The staff were friendly, caring and compassionate.’
Here are some other highlights from our CQC report:
One relative said “The staff here are brilliant, best thing about the place are the staff.” A resident said, “I do feel safe, there are always people about.”
Another resident said “You can get up when you want to here, you can go to bed when you want to here, and you can have breakfast when you want to, you can do just as you like. They will even keep your dinner for you if you want to eat later. Very accommodating.”
Visiting relatives also told CQC, “Staff here are brilliant, my relative is very safe. I come most days and I can say everyone is very safe here.”
CQC also mentioned that relatives had expressed how happy they were with the Dukes Court Facebook Page, saying ‘it was nice to see what was going on in the home.’
Our Home Manager Susanne Stevens was thrilled with the result. “We are certainly celebrating this achievement for a second consecutive time! Thank you to all the team for their hard work. Being rated Good in all five categories really showcases the consistently high standards and quality of care we uphold here. Dukes Court is a care home with a difference.”
