A Chef’s Viewpoint
“I have worked as a chef in the care sector for many years, and we have learned and developed a variety of skills to deliver and understand the ever-growing cuisine within our sector. We know how to tailor our knowledge to individual dietary requirements, whether this is calorie boosting or modifying textures.
Avery’s cutlery-free initiative provides a well-balanced and nutritious menu, making simple tweaks to support residents’ well-being and enjoyment of food. Both our culinary and care teams share the same goal and understand the importance of embracing this thoughtful approach to adapting meals. I am proud to be part of Avery’s culinary team as we continue to develop our sector-leading approach and support the next generation of chefs as they carve out their careers.” – Gareth Cartledge, Regional Culinary and Hospitality Manager.
