Avery In Bloom is our annual gardening competition for staff, residents and their loved ones. It celebrates the creativity and dedication of our staff and residents in transforming our care homes into stunning, vibrant spaces. It’s a chance for everyone involved to showcase their green thumbs and imaginative flair, turning ordinary gardens into extraordinary floral displays. Whether it’s a grand floral arrangement or a quirky indoor planter, Avery In Bloom is all about embracing the beauty of nature and building a sense of community through gardening.

- Best First Impressions – Olympics ThemedGet into the Olympic spirit by designing a themed floral display that makes a lasting impression! Think of Olympic rings, the Torch, or national colours, whether it’s an entrance, a raised flower bed, or a garden border. This is your chance to make your garden a welcoming tribute to the games!
- Miniature Garden: Getting Everyone InvolvedLet your creativity run wild with a miniature garden that tells a story or poem. This is a beautiful way to involve everyone, especially if the weather keeps you indoors. Craft tiny, enchanting landscapes that captivate and inspire!
- Novelty Planter: Expressing CreativityHow imaginative can you be? Design a quirky, fun planter for your indoor or outdoor space. Whether you upcycle materials or create something entirely new, your planter should be tasteful and include a plant. Let your creativity blossom!
Extended Deadline Alert!
We understand that the recent weather may have disrupted your gardening plans, but we have some good news! The deadline for our Avery In Bloom 2024 competition has been extended – Our homes have until Friday 30th August 2024 to submit their photos and the resident’s journey capture sheet. Please send them to averyinbloom@averyhealthcare.co.uk. We’re excited to see and share your stunning displays with the world!
