Avery Healthcare Runner-up in Vegetarian for Life Excellence Awards 2020

We are pleased to announce that the Avery Healthcare Culinary Team was a runner-up in this year’s ‘Beulah Charity Trust Special Recognition Award’ at the Vegetarian for Life Annual Awards for Excellence.

The Beulah Charity Trust Special Recognition Award seeks to recognise organisations who work hard to make the UK a better place for older vegetarians or vegans. The winners and runners-up, this year were announced by Wendy Turner Webster, TV presenter, author and vegan for the past 28 years.

In addition, Dorin Matei, Head Chef at Scholars Mews Care Home in Stratford Upon Avon, was shortlisted in the Most Innovative Veggie Dish for his Vegan Cauliflower Roulade.

The virtual awards, which took place on 3rd December, celebrated the importance of catering well for older vegetarians and vegans.
