Aran Court’s Latest CQC
Aran Court Care Home in Birmingham has recently been inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) at an unannounced visit. We previously had Requires Improvement in all five categories, however we are proud to announce that we now have three ‘Good’ ratings in Safe, Caring and Responsive. These three are the categories that reflect most how we look after our residents, and that our next step is to drive for Good in the remaining two categories, as investment in the quality of care and staff training continues.
The CQC takes time to speak with staff, residents and relatives during their inspection. Here are a few highlights from our latest CQC report:
“It’s safe here. I’m able to go away on holiday and not worry about [family member’s name].”
“Of course they ask me before they do anything.”
“The staff are great. They are kind, caring and respectful.”
“I enjoy working here. It’s a happy home to work in and I would let a relative live here, [there’s] no higher recommendation than that.”
“I’m involved with my care. I’m always in conversations with the home about my care.”
Our Manager, Debbie Rowley, was thrilled with the result and couldn’t wait to celebrate! She said, “A massive congratulations to my team here at Aran Court. We have all worked hard to improve our rating, and I am so pleased to see that it was worth it. We have come a long way in six months!”
We’d love for you to visit us and see the difference yourself. Visit Aran Court Care Home anytime, or pop into our Going The Extra Mile event on July 30th – more information is available on our Aran Court Facebook page.
