A Life of Adventure at 104… and Still Going Strong!

From climbing the iconic O2 Arena at the age of 96 to riding a camel in her late 80s, Yvonne Davies, an extraordinary 104-year-old, is living proof that age is just a number. With her adventurous spirit and zest for life, she inspires everyone around her.

Yvonne has embraced a lifetime of thrilling escapades. In her late 80s, she embarked on an exhilarating camel trek, riding the famous TV star Kokoso, showcasing her fearless nature and willingness to explore the world.

One of the most exhilarating moments of her life occurred when she celebrated her 96th birthday by ascending the O2 Arena in London. At the summit, Yvonne enjoyed birthday cake with her family and friends.

Her adventurous spirit has led her to enjoy many unique experiences, including chocolate-making workshops, which she savoured alongside her family. Celebrating her Welsh heritage on St David’s Day is another cherished tradition, highlighting the importance of family in her life.

Yvonne’s family plays a vital role in her adventurous lifestyle and has chronicled her extraordinary life in a book, ensuring her legacy of adventure continues to inspire future generations.

Since moving to Virginia Water Care Home in October 2009, her vibrant spirit has only intensified. With each passing year, Yvonne serves as a reminder that joy and adventure are accessible at any age.

Yvonne always says, “Live your dreams,” encouraging others to embrace their passions and explore the world around them.
