100th Birthday Celebrations for Di
Resident Di at Acer House recently celebrated her 100th birthday. To mark this impressive milestone, Di and her loved ones enjoyed a trip out to Kenn Pier Stables. Di grew up on a farm and has always been fond of horses. Her only birthday wish was to spend the day with them, and the team at Acer House was delighted to help her wish come true.
Later that day, the talented culinary team prepared a delicious spread of homemade cakes accompanied by a cup of tea. She was inundated with birthday cards from family members and received a special card from King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla, which took pride of place.
Reflecting on the day, Di said, “I am so lucky to have lived to 100 and had very good health. Going to the stables was a wonderful surprise and very interesting as I’ve always loved horses. I was born and raised on a farm, and being back on farmland was extra special for me to mark my birthday. It was a further surprise to discover that one of my cousins owned the stables visited! I feel overjoyed and happy even days after the occasion. From the bottom of my heart, I am very thankful for everyone and for having such lovely people surround me.”
