International Chefs Day
Several of our care homes marked International Chefs Day, recognising the skill and passion of their chefs and culinary teams. Held annually on Saturday 20th October, International Chefs Day honours culinary professionals by spotlighting their contributions to nutrition, creativity, and promoting healthy eating for our residents.
At Wandsworth Common Care Home in Wandsworth, residents baked a walnut and coffee cake as a thank you to Head Chef James and his team. The team was also presented with certificates and chocolates to celebrate their expertise in creating seasonal menus tailored to individual needs.
At Acacia Mews Care Home in Hatfield, residents made thank you cards and took part in chef-themed activities. At Amarna Care Home in York, residents joined Chef Adrian to make sandwiches and scones, gaining a closer look at the care behind every meal.
International Chefs Day was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our talented chefs and culinary teams across Avery Healthcare. We are proud of their dedication in creating meaningful dining experiences for our residents.
