Viva España: Joyous Celebrations of National Spain Day!

This month, our care homes embraced the vibrant culture of Spain in celebration of National Spain Day on 12th October. Residents across our communities enjoyed Spanish-inspired festivities, filled with food, music, and dance.

At Barnet Grange Care Home in Greater London, residents delighted in delicious tapas and traditional Spanish songs. Brentwood Arches Care Home in Essex featured the talented Señorita Doris, who captivated everyone with her elegant hand fan demonstration.

Chorleywood Manor Care Home welcomed the energetic Mike Mirandi, who entertained residents with his lively singing. At Eastbourne Gardens Care Home, singing and dancing filled the air, with residents even testing their Spanish knowledge in a fun quiz. Elstree View Care Home hosted a flamenco dancing workshop and served an enticing tapas spread prepared by their talented chefs.

Moorlands Lodge Care Home in Hindhead offered an armchair travel session exploring Spain’s sights and sounds, ending the day with sangria and Spanish tunes. Aran Court Care Home in Birmingham featured a Spanish trivia session paired with tapas and castanet performances.

Droitwich Mews Care Home enjoyed an afternoon of singing and dancing with Debbie Miles, while Edenbridge Manor Care Home held a flamenco show, complete with surprise staff performances. Elvy Court Care Home in Sittingbourne celebrated with a Spanish-themed lunch and a classic film sing-along.

Finally, Scholars Mews Care Home in Stratford-upon-Avon dazzled residents with flamenco dancers who taught them a few moves, along with a festive Spanish menu.
