Happy Grandparents’ Day

At our homes, the day was marked by visits from loved ones, where residents shared stories and laughter with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Purley Gardens Care Home in Purley celebrated with a whimsical Mad Hatter’s Tea Party inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Residents and their families enjoyed an afternoon of delicious cakes, delicate sandwiches, and lively poetry readings.
Bourn View Care Home in Birmingham also embraced a Wonderland theme with a special afternoon tea. The event featured a performance by talented singer Roy Lorenzo, while volunteers from Mondelēz International added excitement by encouraging residents to dance to the music.
Camberley Woods Care Home in Camberley hosted an afternoon of games, inviting grandchildren and great-grandchildren to join the fun in celebrating the wisdom of the older generation.
Meanwhile, at Milton Court Care Home in Milton Keynes, residents shared their hobbies, interests, and valuable advice with the younger generation, creating an opportunity for intergenerational exchange.
