Bright Ideas Award – Claire Bailey, Dept Support Advisor at GSC

We are excited to announce that Claire Bailey has won the Bright Ideas Award for her innovative solution to handling Power of Attorney (POA) documentation. Traditionally, families are required to provide physical copies of the 14-page POA, which they are often hesitant to part with due to its importance. Claire’s idea leverages a government system that allows the POA to be accessed digitally, eliminating the need for physical copies. Through this system, families can register their POA on a government website and generate a secure code via an app on their phone. This code allows GSC to access the POA online, ensuring a faster, more secure process and reducing the risk of lost documents.
