Waterhouse Manor Sponsors New Kit for Wittering Harriers U14s

Waterhouse Manor Care Home has kicked off its community spirit in style by proudly sponsoring the Wittering Harriers Under-14s football team, kitting them out in brand-new kits for the upcoming season.

Wittering Harriers FC is a junior football club, with teams in the Peterborough and District Junior Alliance Standard League.

Founded Jon Warters, who’s son wanted to play football, the club has grown from a single team to multiple squads across local leagues.

With support from Wittering Parish Council and Thornhaugh Environmental Association, the club now features a new pavilion and has earned FA Charter Status for excellence in coaching and facilities.

Steve Orr, Coach and Chairman of Wittering Harriers FC, said, “Wittering Harriers Under-14s are so grateful to Waterhouse Manor Care Home for sponsoring their team kit.”

“Having support from local businesses is invaluable, and ensuring our team looks and feels unified on the field is important. We are incredibly thankful for Waterhouse Manor Care Home’s commitment to our journey.”

Waterhouse Manor Care Home’s Home Manager, Natalie Maxwell, stated, “We’re excited to be part of the Wittering community and to support the Harriers. Our residents are already keen to follow the team’s progress this season.”

With new kits and renewed confidence, the Harriers are ready for their next match, backed by the support of Waterhouse Manor Care Home.

The new luxury care home, which is in Hampton Gardens in Peterborough, opened on Monday 2nd September.

The 80-bed care home, which welcomed its first resident, 92-year-old Ena, this week.

The home is hosting a grand opening event, open to the public, on Thursday 12th September from 2pm to 5pm.

Waterhouse Manor Care Home aims to provide top-quality care and create a thriving environment for its residents.
