Cliftonville Care Home Rated ‘Good’ by CQC
Staff and residents across Cliftonville Care Home have a ‘Good’ reason to celebrate after the Care Quality Commission (CQC) recognised their unwavering dedication in improving the home’s standards.
The luxury care home, part of the prestigious Avery Healthcare Group and based in Northampton, received the ‘Good’ rating following a thorough inspection by the CQC between March and April 2024.
This rating reflects the significant improvements in the quality of care, staff training, and overall resident satisfaction at the home.
Maria Anghelide, Home Manager at Cliftonville Care Home, expressed her delight at the outcome. She stated, “We are elated with our new CQC rating following their latest inspection.”
“It is immensely gratifying to acknowledge our team’s hard work over the past year. We are proud to have earned a ‘Good’ rating, reflecting our commitment to delivering the highest quality of care for all our residents.”
The CQC is responsible for inspecting and regulating healthcare service providers across England. Inspectors ask the same questions of all services, assessing whether they are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led, and rating services as outstanding, good, requires improvement, or inadequate in each area.
The recent CQC report commends Cliftonville Care Home’s leadership and commitment.
The inspectors found that “the leadership team has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving the quality of care and ensuring that all residents feel safe and valued.”
The home has made strides in personalised care with “significant advancements in providing tailored care plans for each resident.”
The inspectors also found that residents and families praised the compassionate staff. The report notes, “Residents spoke positively about their experiences, highlighting the respectful and compassionate care provided by staff.” Families appreciated improved communication and involvement in their loved ones’ care, reinforcing the home’s commitment to transparency and quality care.
The inspectors found that the home has expanded its activities, offering more social engagement. The report remarks, “The variety of activities offered has significantly increased, providing residents with more choices and opportunities to engage in meaningful social interactions.” It also highlights, “Enhanced safety measures have been implemented effectively, creating a safer living environment for all residents.”
As well as this, the inspectors found that staff professional development has been a priority. The report states, “Staff training has been a priority, with significant improvements in the competency and confidence of the care team, ensuring high-quality care for residents.”
