Priory Court awarded Good in All Categories from CQC
Here at Priory Court we always strive to deliver the best quality of care to all our residents, and we are proud to announce that we have received Good in all categories from our industry regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our report has some fantastic comments – here are just a few:
One relative commented that, “The staff are very professional in the way they look after [my family member] I am happy with the way they undertake their care tasks and they are clearly well trained to do their jobs.”
People and relatives told CQC they thoughts staff were caring. One person said, “The staff are very considerate and they have made me and all of the family who visit me really welcome.” A relative reported that “The manager and staff are all very approachable. I think they are caring in every way and they go that extra mile to make me feel part of the home.”

Residents are supported to access a range of communal and individual activities and to follow and develop their outside interests, all promoted on our Facebook page. One resident commented to CQC that, “I can…use my computer to speak with me family which is great. I can also see what is being posted about the activities and what we have been doing. It’s great.”
Another person said, “It’s great to get involved in the things going on but it’s our choice. It’s just good to know there are things there if we want them.”
One resident told CQC how they had been supported to develop their individual interests: specifically in learning to sail at a local sailing club with transport from the home. The resident told CQC that, “I am a member and I have someone who goes with me onto the boat. I’m really interested in developing my skills with this and enjoying it immensely.”
The report also comment on our brilliant manager. One person said, “The manager is supportive and strong which I think is great for us and for staff. The approach helps make sure things get done for us and we are well looked after. That’s the bottom line.” Another resident said, “I have lived here for a while and this is the best it has been. Very well managed.”
One staff member stated, “We all work really well together. We have team meetings and get to know what’s happening. There’s good team communication.” Another staff member mentioned to the inspector that “There has been some positive changes since [the registered manager] came. We feel part of a team.”
There is no doubt that Priory Court has such a fantastic community spirit due to all the hard work by the staff. Thank you for all your efforts. The full report can be read by clicking here.
