Mousehold View marks milestone and launches community charity naming competition

All hands on deck has been the name of the game at Mousehold View Care Home – Avery Healthcare’s brand-new luxury care home in Sprowston, Norwich. And the care providers very first in the region!

Home Manager Nigel Reeve was on hand with Customer Service Manager Dan Amis to assist by laying the last bricks in the new home’s terrace, adding, “This really is a big moment as our beautiful new home nears completion. The last tile has just been laid on the roof, topping the home out and now the last bricks have been laid on the terrace. We are all certainly getting excited for our grand opening this Summer!”

Mousehold View, situated on Mousehold Lane, will provide residential and dementia care and respite stays that can even be booked a year in advance when it opens. The home has been built on a site steeped in history on the original site that produced the famous Maclaren ‘Mac’ Handbags and, in latter years, belonged to the world famous – Start-Rite Shoes.

Nigel and Dan used the opportunity to mark the launch of the home’s charity competition too. Dan adds, “We have 3 floors at Mousehold View that need naming and we will donate £250 to the charity of the winner’s choice. Growing up in Norfolk, visiting Norwich frequently and having worn Start-Rite shoes myself as a child, some names have certainly crossed my mind, but we wanted the local community to be part of the process – which makes this next moment in the journey of Mousehold View even more special.”

To enter the home’s communities naming competition, please email Dan Amis at: daniel.amis@averyhealthcare.co.uk with your suggestions – including your contact details too. The competition will be running until the end of June 2023.
