A Man’s Best Friend: Dog Therapy at Lavender Lodge
The lucky residents at Lavender Lodge Care Home in Farnborough had a recent visit from fluffy companion Fred – a therapy dog. Extensive research shows that the presence of a dog can have a positive impact on a person’s well-being and can help to reduce stress and depression.
As Fred visited the home, the residents were delighted to pet and engaged with their furry friend. Well-being and Activities Co-ordinator Deborah organised the visit and commented, “I think we can all tell that the visit was a great success and residents all had a wonderful time. Dogs truly do seem to be man’s best friend!”
