Avalon Court Care Home rated ‘Good’ in CQC Inspection
Our gorgeous care home, Avalon Court, has recently been assessed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) at an unannounced inspection. We are proud to announce that the CQC rated us as ‘Good’ overall – the second time in a row that we have received this rating! This result is due to the consistent and high-quality teamwork, led by our Home Manager Rick Bloomer.
Rick was delighted with the result! He praised the staff for their hard work, stating that: “We have a philosophy and commitment to promoting independence and choice for our residents, supported by the highest quality care. We take into consideration the needs of every individual; it is a home-from-home with a difference that offers friendship, engaging activities and a stimulating lifestyle.”
Here are a few highlights from our CQC report:
“All of the provider’s staff were kind and caring to people”. Another extract states: “We saw compliments from relatives to the registered manager praising staff for ‘superb care’ and staff described as ‘warm, compassionate and caring.”
One resident told CQC, “The team leader understands the world of dementia. She always talks about preserving dignity.” Another resident also commented: “They are really lovely to me.… I like the staff they are kind”, and “Yes, I am happy here. I like my room and the staff are good”.
A big well done and thank you goes to all our team at Avalon Court for their continued hard work and dedication!
