Hempstalls Hall is the finest of Newcastle Under Lyme care homes and is situated in a quiet suburb of Newcastle-under-Lyme, attracting self-funded residents from neighbouring towns such as Stoke-on-Trent and the rest of North Staffordshire. A spirit of companionship runs throughout our retirement home — it’s the first thing you notice when you enter our reception. We warmly welcome couples or companions to continue their care journey together in our care home. But as well as this, we concentrate on approaching each resident in a holistic way, that is nourishing mind, body and soul, and our high-calibre staff are well qualified to do this.
Read moreOur lounges are light and open with large windows that look out over our garden and the locality. The enclosed rear garden is a perfect spot for capturing the sun and many residents enjoy sitting out on the benches when it’s warm.
Read moreBedrooms are generously sized, and all have walk-in showers and flat-screen TVs. We always encourage residents to personalise their rooms as much as possible with their personal belongings. Having familiar items around makes a new environment feel less strange, and more of a ‘home from home’. Some of our rooms have patio doors, which offer our residents a tranquil place to enjoy a cup of tea and read a book.

At Hempstalls Hall Care Home we know how important it is for our residents to have an active and stimulating lifestyle. Our dedicated activities team arrange and plan all the daily events, guided by what the residents would like. There’s an accent on music and poetry. For instance:

• Choir practice
• Serenades from singers
Renowned for our assisted living in Newcastle-under-Lyme, our non-dementia residents are free to come and go as they please, even if it is just a walk around the enclosed garden or to pop to the shops for a paper. We also arrange excursions to the local cinema and theatre for a bit of culture, as well as pub lunches and church services. Our qualified staff are very good at providing pampering sessions in our beauty parlour and hair salon, and they’re always up for a good old chat at the same time.

If not gardening, then you might find a game of badminton going on, or a spot of cheerleading, waving those pompoms. Fine Dining & Good Company
We make sure our residents have a balanced and nutritious diet. The in-house chef and team prepare all the food daily from fresh, local ingredients and take pride in the menu, often chatting to the residents to make sure they are on track. Residents sometimes hark back to their younger days and ask for nostalgic dishes they had then, and the chef is happy to provide these, sometimes with a modern twist! There are always tasty home-baked snacks and fruit available throughout the day too.
Mealtimes are the highlight of the day here at our care home in Newcastle-under-Lyme, and with gentle music playing in the background, residents can freely chat about their day and socialise. We serve wine or beer and provide a real sense of restaurant service. Family of our residents are also welcome to join us, and are especially welcome for meals with their relatives.
